One of the core virtues of a leader is to find the right man for the right job. Obviously he cannot do every job by himself and he needs a person who is capable to deliver the job to him.
The famous Tamil poet and saint had detailed how this work needs to get done.
The Thirukkural verse that discusses the selection of the right person to entrust with a task is found in Chapter 51 ( Therindu Thelithal – knowing and Verifying), verse 517.
The meaning of this verse goes like this:
“Having carefully analyzed, ‘This person will successfully complete this specific task using this particular method,’ one should then entrust that responsibility to him.”
A successful leader must identify people in his team who could deliver various tasks requiring varying skills and expertise.
